Cultural Competence among health professionals, where to find information.

CINAHL defines cultural competence as "academic and interpersonal skills that enable the health professional to increase understanding and appreciation of cultural differences and similarities within, among, and between groups."

You can find additional information under the Find Articles tab on how to search the WCC Library research databases to locate and retrieve articles about cultural competence in nursing.

First, the two best databases to use are CINAHL and Health and Medicine. The subject heading to use is CULTURAL COMPETENCE.  You may also want to add the term nurse.
