Students work in small groups to record interviews capturing public attitudes on various types of waste. Students then edit shorter videos into a larger film that incorporates student analysis and synthetic commentary on waste in our society.

By considering two NPR Radio shows from an economic perspective, students will understand the complexities of the healthcare system in the United States and the breadth of market failures throughout the system.

This film chronicles the introduction of the hula hoop, a toy that set off one of the greatest fads in United States history. This short scene illustrates the difference between a movement along a demand curve and a shift of the entire curve, a subtle point that many students struggle with.

The physical laws of nature are often broken or bent in cartoons for comic effect. Students will watch segments of cartoons that depict physical activities and discuss the physical world portrayed with the accepted physical laws of nature.

This is a clip from Seinfeld in which Kramer tries to talk Jerry into installing illegal cable. Jerry is worried about the illegality of such a move and tells Kramer, "No." However, Jerry eventually gives in once he discovers that there will be 75 televised Mets games on TV. Now, his marginal benefit is greater than his marginal cost.

Teaching with data simulations means giving students opportunities to simulate data in order to answer a particular research question or solve a statistical problem.
