Canvas and Library Integration

An alternative is to search E-Book databases directly. You can link to the E-Book full-text or use permalinks to add a chapter of an EBSCO E-Book to your Canvas course. Note that the number of pages you can download might be limited. 

1. Go to the Library home page and click on Databases
2. Click on Databases by Subject
3. Scroll down to E-Books 
4. Select the E-Book database you want to search 
5. Type in the book you are searching for or the subject of a book you are searching for
6. Click Search
7. Click on the book title 
8. Top right tools, click the arrow icon for  the Share screen
9. Click on the Create Link, then click Copy to Clipboard 
10. Paste this URL into a syllabus, reading list, email, Canvas or document of your choice!   

Instructions for specific e-book chapter link:

1. Click on the PDF Full Text link on the left side 
2. On the left side 'Table of Contents', identify the chapter (Chapter 4 for this example)
3. Click the chapter you identified
4. Click on the 'Share' top navigation
5. Click the 'Create Link' 
6. Click 'Copy to Clipboard' 
7. Paste this URL into a syllabus, reading list, email, Canvas, or document of your choice!
