Canvas and Library Integration

An alternative is to search E-Book databases directly. You can link to the E-Book full-text or use permalinks to add a chapter of a ProQuest E-Book to your Canvas course. Note that the number of pages you can download might be limited. 

1. Go to the Library home page and click on Databases
2. Click on Databases by Subject
3. Scroll down to E-Books 
4. Select the E-Book database you want to search 
5. Type in the book you are searching for or the subject of a book you are searching for
6. Click Search
7. Click on the book title 
8. You will find the 'share link to book' icon on the right side under the title
9. Click on the 'share link to book', from the pop-up Press Control-C to copy
10. Click 'done' button
11. Paste this URL into a syllabus, reading list, email, Canvas, or document of your choice!   

Instructions for specific e-book chapter link:

1. Click on the 'Read Online' link on the left side under the title
2. On the left side 'Table of Contents', identify the chapter (Chapter 6 for this example)
3. Click the chapter you identified
4. Click on the 'Save Link' top navigation
5. From the pop-up, Control-C copy 
6. Click 'done' button
7. Paste this URL into a syllabus, reading list, email, Canvas, or document of your choice!
